A daughter in Toronto can see that her father in Lagos has been engaging positively with his AI companion, providing reassurance without intrusive check-ins. All sharing is strictly opt-in with granular controls, and emotional data is transmitted as anonymized trend indicators rather than raw emotional content.
The feature emerged from Hushtalk's user research, which revealed that family separation anxiety was one of the most common themes in user conversations. First-generation immigrants worried about aging parents back home; parents worried about children studying abroad; grandparents mourned watching grandchildren grow up through screens.
