Effective Date: May 13, 2026

Hushtalk respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you access or use Hushtalk's websites, applications, AI chat features, companion experiences, products, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy is designed for an AI chat service. It covers information you provide directly, information generated through your use of AI features, information collected automatically, and information processed by service providers that help us operate the Services.

1. Scope of This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy applies to personal information we collect from or about you when you use the Services. "Personal Information" means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be associated with an individual.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, platforms, services, or applications that we do not own or control. Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy policies.

You should avoid submitting government identification numbers, financial account details, health information, biometric data, precise location, passwords, private keys, confidential business information, information about children, religious beliefs, political opinions, racial or ethnic origin, or similar sensitive information.

If you choose to include sensitive information in chats, prompts, uploads, feedback, or other interactive features, you do so at your own risk. We may process that information as part of providing, securing, moderating, and improving the Services.

5. AI Chats, Model Improvement, and Human Review

Because Hushtalk is an AI chat service, your prompts, messages, uploads, AI-generated responses, feedback, and related metadata may be processed by automated systems to generate responses, maintain conversation context, detect abuse, improve quality, and keep the Services safe.

We may use conversations, feedback, safety signals, and aggregated or de-identified data to evaluate, improve, and develop the Services, including AI features. If we offer account controls that allow you to opt out of model improvement or training uses, we will honor those controls for future eligible data, subject to legal, safety, technical, and operational limits.

Human reviewers, contractors, or service providers may review a limited amount of content for safety, abuse prevention, troubleshooting, support, quality evaluation, legal compliance, and product improvement. Do not include information in chats or uploads that you do not want reviewed or processed for these purposes.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and, where available, in-app controls. If you disable cookies or similar technologies, some Services may not work properly.

9. Advertising and Analytics

We may use analytics and advertising tools to understand how users find and use the Services, improve product performance, and measure marketing effectiveness. These tools may collect device information, usage data, referral information, and similar identifiers.

Where required by law, we will provide choices regarding certain tracking, advertising, or data-sharing practices.

10. Data Retention

We retain Personal Information only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, support AI chat features, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, prevent abuse, and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.

Retention periods depend on the type of data, your settings, the sensitivity of the information, operational needs, legal requirements, and security risks. For example:

  • Account information may be retained while your account remains active.
  • Chat, message, upload, and AI interaction data may be retained until you delete it, delete the related conversation, or close your account, subject to legal, safety, technical, backup, and operational limits.
  • Safety, abuse-prevention, moderation, and account enforcement records may be retained longer where needed to protect the Services and users.
  • Payment and transaction records may be retained as needed for billing, tax, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, and legal compliance.
  • Support communications may be retained as needed to respond to you and maintain business records.
  • Aggregated, anonymized, or de-identified information may be retained indefinitely where it does not identify you.

If you request deletion, we will take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify eligible Personal Information, unless retention is required or permitted for legal, security, safety, fraud-prevention, accounting, backup, dispute-resolution, or Terms-enforcement purposes.

We use technical, administrative, and organizational measures designed to protect Personal Information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, and destruction. These measures may include encryption in transit, access controls, logging, monitoring, and security review.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials confidential and for using care when deciding what information to submit to the Services.

14. Children's Privacy

The Services are not intended for children under the age required by applicable law. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children without required parental or guardian consent.

If you believe a child has provided Personal Information to us without appropriate consent, please contact us, and we will take reasonable steps to delete the information as required by law.

15. International Users

If you access the Services from outside the country where our servers or service providers are located, your information may be transferred to, stored in, or processed in other jurisdictions. These jurisdictions may have data protection laws different from those in your location.

Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers of Personal Information.

16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
